Autokrator
I wrote Autokrator asking myself, "Could things be WORSE for women?" I was thinking of modern women, but I approached it through the lens of a dystopian world and drew on my love of history to create a speculative world. I thought about how differently a society might be ordered, and what it would take to be toppled.
